The joint exhibition titled 'In Retrospect - 2 Decades Of Shared Legacy' showcases the longstanding partnership and shared history between solebox and adidas, offering a unique perspective.

To enhance this exhibition, the two brands partnered with Illya Goldman Gubin, a contemporary artist with a multidisciplinary approach who creates distinctive works that blur the line between fashion and art, inspiring viewers to reflect on the complexities of contemporary reality and how we perceive it.

Illya's unique perspective offers a renewed interpretation of the origins of the first solebox store in Berlin, shedding new light on its distinct qualities and presenting it in a contemporary and innovative way. By using Epoxy Resin and Cardboard as Illya's main mediums in his years of practice, a bridge between the richness and depth of the past with the innovation and progress of the present can be brought into dialogue and expressed through art and design. While bringing these materials into the context of the exhibition, he opens up new avenues for dialogue and exploration and invites the visitors to engage with the artworks in a more tactile and sensory way.

The showcase features the most recent collaborative series between the two brands, including new iterations of the Ultra 4D and Ultraboost, paying homage to the original solebox x adidas Ultraboost Uncaged from 2016, reimagined in new colorways and refined materials.

The exhibition invites us to look back on the past while looking forward to the future.
